I was almost positive that we previously had a setting available that allowed users to only view one job at a time, or at minimum only see their current job and the next scheduled job. This may have been a feature available in my previous system, but if this option is not currently available in Workiz, I believe it would be a valuable addition. For the time being, I believe I will need to place jobs under "Unassigned" until the plumber calls in and confirms they have completed their current job and are ready for the next assignment. The reason for this is that I have noticed the team tends to rush through jobs when they can see they are booked for the entire day or when they see a higher-paying job later on the schedule. If they are only able to view the current job, it would encourage them to slow down, focus on the customer in front of them, and fully complete the work without worrying about whether they have one more job or three more jobs waiting. Managing the overall schedule and ensuring every customer is taken care of is my responsibility as the company. However, having the system automatically display the next scheduled job once the current job is completed would save a significant amount of time on my end while still maintaining the workflow and accountability I am trying to create.
