Intuitive Online Booking/Client Portal
We utilize Workiz for our operations and appreciate its capabilities. However, we've identified several areas where enhancements could significantly improve workflow efficiency and the client experience: Online Booking System: Increased Customization: The current Online Booking lacks the granular customization options available in the Booking Forms (e.g., custom fields/questions). Implementing similar flexibility would allow us to gather necessary information upfront and tailor the booking process more effectively. There's potential for more innovative checkout customizations here. Streamlined Price Book Integration: Price Book items intended for Online Booking currently require separate management within the Online Booking settings. Consolidating this so all Price Book management occurs solely within the main Price Book section would eliminate duplicate effort and reduce the risk of inconsistencies. Modernization & Intuition: We find the client-facing Online Booking process could be substantially improved in terms of detail, flow, and overall intuitiveness. As an example, Zenbooker's online booking system presents a modern, seamless experience that we feel would be a valuable direction for Workiz. Enhancing this crucial client touchpoint would better leverage Workiz's powerful backend capabilities and drive further automation. Booking Forms: Payment Integration: The Booking Forms are a strong feature, but their utility is limited by the absence of integrated payment processing. Enabling clients to submit payment directly upon form completion would be a major improvement. Client Portal Functionality: Comprehensive Enhancement: We strongly recommend developing a more robust Client Portal. Clients should have a dedicated login area providing self-service access to their account information, service history, registered assets (and the ability to book service related to those assets), a secure document repository, a messaging center for communication, and tools to update their contact details.
