🚨 Current Limitation
Right now, in Workiz, once you open a proposal template for a lead or job, you cannot reopen or access it again
This limitation causes major issues in the field — especially when new problems are discovered during inspections or when customers need to see prices in stages instead of all at once.
💡 Why Workiz Needs to Allow Multiple Access to Proposal Templates
Real-World Workflow
In garage door and other service industries, techs often find additional issues as the job progresses (for example: worn rollers, damaged bearings, or off-track doors).
We need to be able to reopen the same proposal template multiple times to update it as we uncover more problems.
Currently, we’re forced to create new proposals or redo work, which wastes time and creates confusion.
Customer Experience & Sales Flow
If we try to sell the entire job at once, the price ticket looks too high and customers can get discouraged.
Being able to access the proposal multiple times allows us to explain the repair process gradually — showing one issue at a time, building trust, and helping the customer see the value behind each recommendation.
Improved Conversion Rates
When customers understand the issues step-by-step, they’re more likely to approve the full job.
Presenting upgrades or additional repairs progressively leads to higher close rates, better upsells, and stronger customer relationships.
Time Savings for Technicians
Currently, techs have to start over or duplicate proposals each time they want to adjust the offer, which takes extra time and increases the chance of mistakes.
Allowing multiple access points would make proposals faster, more efficient, and more accurate in the field.
Consistency Across Leads and Jobs
This feature is important for both leads (during the estimate phase) and jobs (during the service phase).
Whether it’s the first inspection or final sale, users should be able to open and modify the same proposal without restriction.
