Sales Tax
Moshe Spund
Other platforms are somehow able to pull accurate sales tax data based on the cusotmers Address.
I remember when we used to do invoices through QB we only need to input the full customer address and the system knows exactly what the sales tax rate is for that zip code.
In Workiz this needs to be done manually and sometimes this extra step is overlooked, not ideal when dealing with sales tax rates

Agree - We should be able to set up sales tax at the customer level to avoid potential errors. This is especially important for a company dealing with many different states and variables. Sales tax is not something that should be done manually.

Agree - This is what you would expect from the "best", "industry-leading" software. Here is a similar request from 2023 - https://workiz.canny.io/feature-requests/p/automatic-sales-tax-based-on-location
And here is a request I made along the same line - asking for a popup or waring if there is a taxable item on the invoice but no tax selected - https://workiz.canny.io/feature-requests/p/add-sales-tax-selector-popup-warning.
I believe most companies use https://www.taxjar.com/, which is a Stripe company, or https://www.avalara.com/.
