QB Payment Sync
Sarah May
If a payment is made in quickbooks it should sync to Workiz. We were sold on Workiz "2 way sync with QB" but found only invoices are 2 way. Payments only go from Workiz to QB. Example: Landlord paid via QB to QB for services we provided on a tenant location. Workiz shows balance owing, but qb shows paid in full. If I add payment to Workiz it then shows over paid in qb. HOW DOES IT NOT SYNC PAYMENTS 2 WAY????

If a customer's payment is recorded QBO, I do a "Credit Offline" in Workiz to zero out the invoice and then manually resync the invoice to QBO. Since the payment displays in QBO as "unapplied", I delete the unapplied payment. Now the customer's balance is correct in both platforms.
I realize this is extra work, but until Workiz can accept bulk check payments this is the only work around I have found.
We do all of our invoicing via Workiz except for the customers that like to pay more than one invoice via check. For these instances, I prefer to have one check for my deposit, so it makes it clear for our CPA.

Diane Temmen this is what I do, but it's a problem to keep track of. Deleting 50 payments a month from QuickBooks isn't a real work around. I was told years and years ago that the was an urgent issue being worked on. The sync has improved, but not enough.

Talisa Rafferty - Totally agree.
Plus refunds are not being synced properly. We need a mapping tool between Workiz & QBO, so we can determine where we want the transactions to end up.
