When I'm ready to take a payment, the message 'Reader is updating' appears, and the update process can take 10-15 minutes or longer with a slow Internet connection. This is very frustrating for everyone involved. It would be beneficial if the app provided an option to refuse the update or at least warn in advance that the card reader firmware is outdated. The app could remember the firmware version of paired readers and compare it to the current version, warning me before I'm with the customer.
