Heres my thoughts:
It would be incredibly helpful if the Workiz online booking tool included a zip code search or filter at the beginning of the booking process. This would allow potential customers to enter their zip code upfront to confirm whether they’re in our service area—before going through the entire booking process.
Why this matters:
- Prevents customers outside of our service area from booking accidentally.
- Saves time for both customers and our office staff.
- Improves the overall customer experience by setting clear expectations early.
- Reduces the need for manual cancellations or follow-ups.
- Enables more efficient routing and scheduling.
Feature Wishlist:
- Option to require zip code input before proceeding with booking.
- Ability to create a custom list of serviceable zip codes.
- Custom message for out-of-area zip codes (e.g., “Sorry, we don’t currently service your area”).
- Ability to update zip code lists dynamically as we expand service zones.
This small feature would make a big impact on how efficiently we book jobs and serve the right customers. We’d love to see this added to the Workiz online booking flow.

Yes, we need a zip code filter for the online booking. We need it so that junk removal customers can see the availability of our trucks in HIS/HER AREA and not a truck that is 1 hr away!

In addition, there should be custom pre-qualification questions to filter out unwanted leads.

I have spoken to them about this and they keep telling me to create service areas. They do not understand the benefit this could be for the entire industry.
