If there was a holding folder for jobs that aren’t on the schedule and need to be scheduled in the future if there was a place you could put them to keep them all in one place easier for you to go through and look at to make sure no one falls through the crack instead of leaving it on the original day

Agreed. Some sort of queue for rescheduled jobs, or jobs that need some sort of attention. What if it showed up in the timeline strip like a technician, but stayed static regardless of date? We could scroll between dates, and drag and drop between queue and techs.
It would be nice that when "postpone" is clicked, it gives the option "send back to queue." Then we could change the status to any custom status we create. Better yet, an option for automatically changing job status when job is sent back to the queue.

YES!! John Marcroft - Leads and Jobs feed into totally different workflows for our business, so this change would need to be made still. Using leads unfortunately isn't an adequate workaround for us. Definitionally, it's not a lead if it's a job, for my business

an unscheduled job queue would be great!! We do use leads, and convert to jobs when they schedule --- but sometimes a client needs to reschedule but doesn't have a new appointment date to confirm yet. our solution has been to cancel the job and create a whole new lead again -- which is inefficient and skews our tracking metrics.

YES YES YES! It is extremely frustrating to have to create a job before the invoice (which in our case - the invoice needs to be signed first) when we are not sure yet when the job will happen due to inventory, etc. Unless there's another way to do this?

John Marcroft: Yeah but then you have to make a lead for every estimate every time, and then you have approved leads which are not able to be converted into jobs and therefore if they have a deposit you have money floating in limbo with no job AND no invoice attributable. They should just change the system to make sense instead of us having to find workarounds
