Hello Workiz Support Team,

We are using Workiz to manage quotes, installations, and inventory for our HVAC company (Celsius Climatisation Chauffage).

We are facing a limitation with Item Groups / Flat Rate Items:

We want to create Item Groups representing complete installations (e.g., “Moovair Meridian 15,000 BTU Installation”) with a fixed price for the customer,

Our sub-items (materials and labor) are only meant to track internal costs and margin and should not affect the final customer price,

Currently, Workiz Flat Rate calculates the total price solely based on sub-items and does not allow entering a fixed price at the parent group level,

This prevents us from offering standard flat-rate pricing to clients while maintaining accurate internal cost tracking.

We would like to know:

Is there a native way to create an Item Group with a fixed customer price independent of the sub-item prices?

If not, could this feature be considered as a future enhancement for companies needing flat-rate pricing with internal cost tracking?

This feature is critical for us to:

Standardize our flat-rate packages

Bill a clear fixed price to clients

Accurately track margins in the Job Cost Report
