đź’ˇ Feature Request: Duplicate Pricebook Item Function
Kristian Protic
It would be a huge time-saver if Workiz allowed users to duplicate an existing pricebook item instead of creating each one from scratch.
For example, when adding multiple SKUs for similar equipment (like air conditioners with different tonnages or SEER ratings), I often need to create 4–5 nearly identical items — the only changes being the model, capacity, and price.
Being able to click “Duplicate” on an existing item would let us:
- Quickly create multiple variations (1–5 ton AC units, different SEER levels, etc.)
- Maintain consistent formatting, descriptions, and tags
- Avoid repetitive manual entry
- Reduce setup errors and speed up onboarding for new products
This feature would make building and maintaining a well-organized, accurate pricebook significantly faster for HVAC and plumbing companies (and likely other trades too).
If this would help your team too, please upvote! ďż˝

Problem
Currently, creating new pricebook items in Workiz requires building each entry from scratch — entering the description, cost, markup, images, categories, and custom fields every single time. For companies with dozens or hundreds of similar services (for example, garage door repairs that only differ by part size, brand, or labor time), this process is extremely time-consuming and repetitive.
Proposed Solution
Add a “Duplicate” or “Copy Item” button inside the Pricebook, allowing users to clone an existing service or product with all of its fields (description, tags, photos, pricing, and settings). The user could then simply rename or tweak the details without starting over.
Why This Is Important
Efficiency: Speeds up pricebook creation and updates by 70–90%, saving hours of manual data entry.
Consistency: Ensures pricing, formatting, and descriptions remain uniform across similar items.
Error Reduction: Reduces mistakes caused by retyping long details or forgetting fields.
Scalability: Makes it easier for growing businesses to quickly expand their service catalog.
Better Onboarding: New employees or admins can set up pricing faster and maintain brand consistency.
Example
A garage door company might have 10 types of spring replacements that only differ in wire size or cycle rating. With duplication, one item can be copied and edited, rather than rebuilt from scratch each time
