Enhanced Privacy for Call Transfers (Masking Fix)
Avi Zadok
Objective: To ensure customer privacy is maintained when a call is transferred from the office system to a mobile user.
The Issue: Currently, when an office call is transferred to a mobile app user, the customer’s actual phone number is visible on the user’s device, even if Call Masking is turned on.
The Fix (End-to-End Masking): Modify the transfer logic so that the mobile user sees the Business Name/Number (or a proxy number) instead of the customer’s private CLI (Calling Line Identity).
Compliance: This prevents customer phone numbers from being saved in the personal call logs of employee mobile devices.
Benefit: Closes a major privacy gap and ensures the company remains in control of customer data (PII) during internal hand-offs.
