Additional Contacts - Tie to Contacts and Text/SMS

So we have the ability to add an additional contact, but really, it is just a place to store a number, (and call) but PLEASE add the ability to text this additional contact, AND tie them to the same profile in some way.
THE BIGGEST PROBLEM IS that when you text additional contact, it does not show a name - this becomes really messy
Ideally, and secondly, select who the primary contact is, and then when sending messages reminders, automations, or invoices, have the ability to select one, the other, or both.
In may case, often one spouse will set up the appointment, but then I'm meeting their partner.
Think of this from a user standpoint, please.

I can NOT BELIEVE that this request has been sitting here since 2024! Additional contacts are barely searchable, and communication with them is done through workarounds. Please, please, please make additional contacts a functional tool for us.

this honestly seems like a simple fix that should have been integrated into additional contacts. Its really nice that additional contacts show in the call center but how they dont directly connect to the message center is beyond me

This is VERY messy. I'm dealing with this issue right now. There needs to be separate text threads for each additional contact. Currently, everything gets lumped into a single thread, which makes it unclear who I'm actually texting. It's confusing on my end, and the customer is getting frustrated.
Alternatively, if keeping one thread, it needs to be crystal clear who we're messaging (by name), with the ability to reply to individual contacts or send a group message, depending on the situation.

This would be great. When someone who is an additional contact on an account texts you get no indication of who it is even though their info is saved in Workiz. You end up asking someone that you deal with all of the time who they are.
