Add Unsaved Changes Warning

Hi Work IZ Team,
Can you please add a pop-up warning if someone tries to close a lead or job without saving?
We’ve lost customers due to details being closed out accidentally — a simple “Are you sure you want to exit without saving?” message would help prevent missed appointments and lost revenue.
Thanks!

OMG what a lifesaver this would be!

William Malone Completely agreed! I have three desktops going and a million tabs open most days — between safety audits, bookings, and customer calls, it's easy to think something saved when it didn’t. I actually had a customer recently who waited all day, and no one arrived because I thought I’d saved the appointment. She wasn’t interested in rescheduling and was really unsatisfied. That one misstep cost us a recurring client and a good chunk of revenue.
The “Updating” message is really misleading — it looks like it saved, but unless you hit the actual save (which is also a green loader), it doesn’t stick. A simple “Are you sure you want to exit without saving?” pop-up would seriously save us from situations like this.

Jasmine Hanson I completely get it. We have lost more than a few because of this. We are all multi-tasking these days. Autosave or at least a warning is an absolute must. Also, when the techs enter their notes, they have the same issue. They move on to the next job thinking they put in the notes, but nothing is there...which usually means we have to send another tech back to take measurements, etc. A waste of time and money...not to mention not too happy clients.

William MaloneThanks, William — I really appreciate you chiming in. You nailed it — we’re all juggling a lot, and even the most careful team members can accidentally miss a save. Having a warning or autosave would absolutely help reduce those costly mistakes and callbacks.
It’s good to hear we’re not the only ones facing this. Hopefully this is something Workiz can prioritize soon — it would be a huge win for techs and admins alike!
