Hi Workiz Team,
I’d love to suggest an improvement for the Workiz calendar that would make day-to-day scheduling much easier for techs and admins:
🔄 Add Recurring Events to the Calendar
Right now, if we need to block off regular times—like weekly meetings, lunch breaks, office hours, on-call rotations, or even predictable “no availability” windows—we have to manually create each event one by one. This takes extra time and increases the chances of mistakes or overlapping schedules.
How Recurring Events Would Help
• Save time: No more duplicating the same event every week or month.
• Avoid scheduling conflicts: Keeps techs unavailable during the same repeating time blocks.
• Better organization: Company meetings, weekly training, payroll days, or personal days can be kept consistent.
• More accurate availability: Jessica and the online booking automatically know when a tech or the business isn’t open or available.
• Perfect for multi-tech teams: Helps manage rotations, alternating weeks, and repeat patterns.
Recommended Options
It would be great if recurring events could include patterns like:
• Daily
• Weekly
• Bi-weekly
• Monthly
• Specific weekdays (Mon/Wed/Fri, etc.)
• “Repeat until” date
• “Ends after X occurrences”
Example Use Cases
• Weekly company meeting every Tuesday at 9 AM
• Technician lunch breaks from 12–1 PM every day
• Every-other-week on-call technician rotation
• Monthly office admin day
• Blocking time for school drop-offs or other predictable personal commitments
This feature would make the Workiz calendar far more powerful and would eliminate a lot of repetitive admin work.
