ability to expire an estimate after so many days
Tammy Dupuis
We send out quotes/estimates to customers and need the ability to expire the quote if not approved/signed off on after 30 days. With the constant moving pricing this is a must to be able to make it so a customer cannot sign off on a quote with old pricing. We do have it in our paperwork stating that a quote/estimate is only valid for 30 days but this can be overlooked by a customer, and we need to prevent this better.

I recommend Workiz add the ability to set expiration dates on estimates (e.g., 7, 14, 30 days). This helps us protect pricing against inflation, encourages customers to make decisions faster, keeps old quotes from resurfacing, improves automations, and keeps our pipeline clean. This is becoming an industry standard and would be a huge help for contractors.

Hey Tammy Dupuis
Thank you for sharing this feedback.
Currently, after an estimate is sent to your customer, the estimate link automatically expires after 30 days to help you prevent outdated pricing and reduce potential misuse through the client portal.
Once expired, clients see a clear message in the portal (“Link has expired”) with an option to request a new link.
Currently the duration is set to 30 with no option to adjust.
Thank you,

Nathan Cox if they are sent another estimate for say a part then they can see old estimates again. Also it would be good if they estimate auto change status to expired. So if they are it in their portal with new link then it would say expired. And i could set up sn autimation so sales could follow up if quote expires.

It would also be nice to be able to change a date on the quote if we update it and resend it to the customer. Right now the date is the creation date and i dont see where you can change this.

YES PLEASE! If you could add an option for an expiring date & have it automatically change to archived after that, that would be amazing.
Tammy Dupuis
Jill thank you I forgot to add that part to have it automatically change to a different status, whether it is archived or moved to a status that needs sales rep to review so they can follow up on it.

@Boaz - And we need to be able to select ALL status to create automations. :)

Jill definitely needs to be auto archived once it expires w/ the option to add an automation if it expires as mentioned above. ALL lead statuses should update automatically (i.e. estimate pending approval <- should auto update to this status when estimate sent) etc
